Who We Are
Human Life International Uganda is a Pro-life non profit organization that follows the teaching of the Catholic Church. The organization is locally registered in Uganda under the non governmental act 2006. Our mission is to defend, protect and promote life from the moment of conception until natural death for all man kind. Promoting families and faith in God is the backbone of our mission.
What We Do
Our programs include;
- Human rights advocacy and sensitization of communities. The youth are at the centre of HLI Uganda’s concerns; a reason for which HLI Uganda activities are mainly focused in schools, colleges and higher institutions of learning where we offer sensitization programs on the dangers of abortion, premarital sex; use of contraceptives, child sacrifice, changing society’s perception towards pregnant unmarried girls with emphasis on chastity living before and after marriage as the ultimate goal for this campaign.
- We offer comprehensive counseling to victims of abortion, HIV/AIDS and cases of crisis pregnancies.
- Through our nutrition Project, Healthy Moms Healthy Kids, HLI Uganda equips mothers especially pregnant and lactating ones on how to properly boost their health and that of their babies through proper nutrition.
- We promote food security through offering trainings and demonstrations in modern farming techniques, marketing and food storage to curtail the current food scarcity.
- We teach the public especially couples, Natural Family Planning (NFP) based on Billings Ovulation method, a method scientifically and medically proven 99% effective when used to postpone pregnancy, has completely no side effects and strengthens family bonds.
- We also offer support to children with pneumonia and people with diabetes.
Where We Operate
HLI Uganda operates throughout the country with head offices in Kampala and we implement our activities at the grassroots through our outreach programmes to communities, SACCOs, pro-life clubs/associations, churches, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Seminaries, monasteries, regional office teams, HLI Uganda’s members and pro-lifers all over the country while working with local communities, members of civil Society and local Government, religious institutions, NGOS and Development Partners locally and internationally.
